Firefox 1.5 is available now and it is the first major upgrade to Firefox since 1.0 shipped just over a year ago.
A quick look at the release notes reveals some new features like Automated update to streamline product upgrades, Faster browser navigation with improvements to back and forward button performance, Drag and drop reordering for browser tabs, a better popup blocking and the ability to clear Private Data for an easy way to quickly remove personal data . There is also Better accessibility including support for DHTML accessibility and assistive technologies such as the Window-Eyes 5.5 beta screen reader for Microsoft Windows with new support for Web Standards including SVG, CSS 2 and CSS 3, and JavaScript 1.6 and many security enhancements.
It seems it is time to upgrade firefox to it new version 1.5, not only for a better browsing experience, but also better software compatibility, more security and fewer bugs! Look out for incompatible extensions when you update.
